Ultra-Rare Ferrari F50 Once Owned by Ralph Lauren for Sale
This 1995 Ferrari F50, once owned by Ralph Lauren, is expected to fetch up to $7.5 million when it goes to auction with RM Sotheby’s this August.
Created to celebrate Ferrari’s 50th anniversary, the F50 is widely regarded as one of the marque’s most visceral road cars. It features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, advanced composite bodywork by Pininfarina, and a removable targa-style roof.
At its core is a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V12, originally developed for Ferrari’s 1992 Formula 1 car. This engine produces 513 horsepower and has a top speed of 202 mph.
Only 349 F50s were produced, with just 55 designated for the U.S. market. Only two arrived in Giallo Modena yellow, making this example exceptionally rare.
Commissioned new by Ralph Lauren, the car has remained in private hands since, always carefully maintained and sparingly driven.
Showing fewer than 5,400 miles and recently serviced, it retains its original components and Ferrari Classiche certification.
With iconic provenance, striking specification, and impeccable preservation, this F50 stands among the most desirable collector Ferraris to come to market in recent memory.
