Precision Returns to Goodwood with TAG Heuer in Control
Speed has always been a matter of timing, and few understand that better than TAG Heuer.
This summer, the legendary Swiss watchmaker returns to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, reaffirming a partnership that sits at the very heart of motorsport culture.
For 2025, the Festival celebrates “The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers”, a nod to 75 years of Formula 1.
It’s a theme that fits TAG Heuer like a racing glove. After all, the brand has been shaping the very nature of timing in motorsport for over a century.
Its credentials speak volumes: the first dashboard chronograph in 1911, the revolutionary 1/100th second stopwatch in 1916, and enduring partnerships with icons from Ferrari and McLaren to today’s Red Bull Racing and Porsche.
In many ways, TAG Heuer has always been in pole position.
Since 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has become the automotive world’s most elegant spectacle.
What began as a hillclimb on a stately home’s driveway has evolved into a celebration of horsepower in every form, where vintage Ferraris rub shoulders with cutting-edge hypercars, and future classics roar past English hedgerows to the cheers of thousands.
The hillclimb remains its beating heart: 1.86km of adrenaline, with records now chased by electric prototypes and experimental racers. But Goodwood is also about context; history, design, engineering, and the culture of speed itself.
From the dramatic Central Feature sculpture to surprise debuts and curated paddocks, Goodwood offers something rare in today’s automotive world: soul.
To mark its return, TAG Heuer has created the Carrera Chronograph x Festival of Speed, a limited edition piece that pays tribute to British motorsport with style and substance.
“TAG Heuer’s legacy in racing is unmatched. This watch is a beautiful way to celebrate our shared history and look ahead.” The Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival
Housed in a 42mm steel case and powered by the TH20-00 automatic movement, it features a British Racing Green dial with a hobnail texture, crimson detailing, and a brown leather rally strap; a nod to the golden age of racing.
“Motorsport is a culture as much as a competition,” says Antoine Pin, TAG Heuer CEO. “Returning to Goodwood means rejoining a community that lives and breathes that spirit.”
Only 100 pieces will be made, initially offered to the Goodwood Road Racing Club before wider release.
