Neil Armstrong’s 18K Gold Omega Speedmaster May Sell for Over $2 Million

Neil Armstrong’s personally owned 18K gold Omega Speedmaster Professional, one of the most exclusive watches ever made, will be auctioned on April 17, 2025, at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Part of an elite 1969 series honoring NASA astronauts, this exceptional Speedmaster (Ref. BA 145.022) is engraved with “Astronaut Neil A. Armstrong, Gemini 8 – Apollo 11,” commemorating his legacy as the first human to walk on the moon.

The caseback bears the inscription: “To mark man’s conquest of space with time, through time, on time.”

With an 18K gold case, a deep burgundy aluminum bezel, and an OM-stamped solid gold dial, this watch epitomizes Omega’s mastery of horology.
