Longines marked another milestone as the Official Partner, Timekeeper and Watch of the 151st Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks, held in Louisville, Kentucky, from 2 to 3 May.

The Swiss watchmaker recorded the unforgettable triumph of Sovereignty, ridden by Junior Alvarado, in Saturday’s Derby – often called the most thrilling two minutes in sport.

On Friday, Longines also timed Good Cheer’s exhilarating finish in the Kentucky Oaks and Simply in Front’s powerful surge to victory in the Churchill Distaff Turf Mile.

The Official Watch of the event was a striking chronograph from the Conquest collection.

Combining sport and elegance, it features a self-winding mechanical movement, a snailed champagne sunray dial, and a stainless steel case water-resistant to 100 metres.
