Inspired by Nature, Shaped by the Alps
Galerie Urs Meile is delighted to announce growing, a new exhibition by Swiss artist Julia Steiner, taking place at the gallery’s Ardez location this August.
This evocative presentation brings together a selection of drawings and sculptures that engage intimately with the elemental energies of the Alpine environment.
Steiner’s practice inhabits the space between abstraction and tangible form, inviting viewers into a meditation on transformation, temporality and fragility.
Rather than offering direct representations of nature, the artist delves into its underlying currents and quiet momentum.
Her works resonate with the subtle transitions, tensions and shifts that define both natural landscapes and the emotional contours of human experience.
Through her use of diverse materials, including wool, bronze, glass, ceramics and black-and-white gouache on paper, Steiner creates a contemplative world shaped by cycles of emergence, dissolution and renewal.
