This extraordinary design collaboration, born of a shared devotion to craftsmanship, performance and beauty, sees the iconic Riva motoryacht translated into the cabin of Flexjet’s Gulfstream G650, a jet renowned not only for its range but for its elegance aloft.

It is a project shaped by artisans, guided by heritage, and destined for the world’s most discerning travellers.

“Riva has always been a statement of elegance. To bring that spirit into the air is a dream realised. With Riva Volare, we celebrate not only an icon of design but our 30-year legacy of innovation.” - Kenn Ricci, Chairman of Flexjet

Riva Volare is an experience suspended between worlds. Every surface, every hue, every tactile detail has been curated to echo the sensual grace of the 1960s Riva Aquarama and the streamlined modernity of the Aquariva.

This is the sea, reimagined for the sky.

Revealed in a private ceremony at Milano Prime Linate on 26 June, the design was showcased within the contemporary hangar of Sirio, Flexjet’s European maintenance and management arm, built in partnership with SEA Prime, the gatekeeper of Italy’s most exclusive aviation enclaves.

Alongside the aircraft stood a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter, dressed in the same Riva elegance, and the Aquariva Special itself, forming a tableau of mastery across all elements.

The G650, capable of reaching New York from Milan or connecting London with Singapore in seamless comfort, now bears a bespoke cabin for up to fifteen passengers, adorned with the hallmarks of both brands: marine soul, aerial ambition.

Two Sikorsky helicopters, one based in Florida, the other newly stationed in Milan, extend this design ethos to rotorcraft, marking Flexjet’s rotary expansion across Europe, from the Alps to the Riviera.

Step into Riva Volare, and you enter a liminal space between flight and reverie.

“Riva style is born of passion and precision. To see it take flight is a moment of beauty. Riva Volare is the result of a shared vision; a love of artistry that spans oceans and now, skies.” - Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group

Seats are hand-stitched in supple leather, the piping dyed in Riva’s signature aquamarine, a whisper of the Mediterranean.

The famous Riva insignia, synonymous with nautical glamour, is delicately embroidered as if signed by the sea itself.

High-gloss wooden panels recall sun-warmed yacht decks, while a carpet of silk evokes the gentle motion of a vessel parting through glassy water.

The colour palette is a dance of contrast, light against deep Blu Sera, chrome against lacquered wood, precision against sensuality.

Nautical stripes ripple across the bespoke ‘kibitzer’ seating in the G650, offering both intimacy and classic design flair. It is a cabin made not only to fly but to enchant.

Onboard, the hospitality is as refined as the setting. Riva-branded crystal, china and silverware accompany a service orchestrated by Flexjet’s Red Label cabin servers, each trained to standards befitting the world’s most exclusive residences. Every detail, curated, perfected, intentional.

Riva Volare is a tribute to motion, to form, to freedom. For those who traverse the world not to arrive, but to travel well, it is an invitation to fly, as one would sail, with elegance, intention and grace.
