De Tomaso Automobili Presents the Road-Ready P72
De Tomaso returns with the P72, a supercar that blends sculptural design, traditional craftsmanship and analogue soul.

De Tomaso Automobili has unveiled the final production specification of the P72, a striking homage to the brand’s 65-year heritage and a bold statement of analogue purity.

Inspired by the 1965 De Tomaso P70, the P72 embodies a time when cars were crafted with passion, not algorithms.

First revealed in concept at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, it now arrives in road-ready form, faithful to its original vision.

At its core is a carbon fibre monocoque formed from a single, uninterrupted piece; a rare structural achievement that enhances rigidity and reduces weight.
The platform is entirely bespoke, optimised for balance, driving feel and low centre of gravity.

Power comes from a hand-built 5.0L supercharged V8, delivering 700 hp and 820 Nm of torque.
Tuned for responsiveness and character, the P72 features short gear ratios, a manual gearbox and a raw, expressive exhaust note.

There are no drive modes or digital filters, just a direct connection between the car and the driver.
The cabin is a celebration of mechanical artistry. There are no screens or infotainment systems.

Instead, hand-finished materials, analogue dials and a polished exposed gear linkage define a space built for pure engagement.
Only 72 examples will be made, each individually commissioned. Deliveries begin in late 2025.

“The P72 is our promise fulfilled,” says CEO Norman Choi. “A timeless design with a mechanical soul, crafted for those who seek more than performance — they seek connection.”
