Christie’s to Offer the Greatest American Wine Cellar
Christie’s presents William Koch’s legendary wine cellar this June with 1500 lots of rare vintages, legacy bottles and iconic producers.

This June, Christie’s New York will present The Cellar of William I. Koch: The Great American Collector.
A landmark three-day live auction showcasing one of the most important single-owner wine collections ever to come to market.

Taking place from 12 to 14 June at Rockefeller Center, the event marks the much-anticipated return of Christie’s Wine auctions to New York.
Sourced from Koch’s renowned cellars in Palm Beach, Cape Cod and Aspen, the collection spans approximately 1,500 lots, including more than 750 exceptional large-format bottles.

Highlights include legendary vintages from the world’s most celebrated producers—among them Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Pétrus, Mouton Rothschild, Cheval Blanc, Margaux and Leroy.
A celebrated industrialist and lifelong collector, William Koch has assembled this cellar with passion, vision and an unwavering dedication to excellence. His love of craftsmanship and history is evident in every bottle.

Adam Bilbey, Christie’s Global Head of Wine and Spirits, notes: “This extraordinary collection reflects a golden era in wine collecting. We are honoured to share Mr Koch’s legacy with connoisseurs and collectors around the world this June.”
