Available in two sophisticated variations, black with rose gold accents and plasma with deep green, the chronograph is as well suited to the city as it is to the outdoors. From a business lunch to a weekend escape, it transitions effortlessly.

At the heart of the watch is a high-tech ceramic monobloc case. This is the first time Rado has introduced such a case for the Captain Cook chronograph, complemented by a ceramic bezel and bracelet that enhance the watch’s durability and comfort.

Light on the wrist and resistant to scratches, it is a timepiece designed to be worn daily without compromise.
Functionality remains central. The dial is balanced and highly legible, featuring three subdials and red-tipped chronograph hands for clear distinction.

Large hour and minute hands are filled with Super LumiNova for visibility in low light, and a rotating bezel and trapezoidal date window add both form and function.
The black and rose gold version leans towards urban sophistication, with contrasting polished and matte finishes that create depth and character.

The green and plasma edition brings a bolder aesthetic, with metallic accents and a rich, luxurious colour palette.
Inside, the Rado calibre R801 automatic movement powers the watch with a 59-hour power reserve and an anti-magnetic Nivachron hairspring.

Despite its capability, the overall height remains slim, making it easy to pair with tailored clothing.
Rado’s expertise in high-tech ceramics sets this chronograph apart. The material, introduced by the brand in 1986, combines lightness, strength and a silky smooth surface that feels remarkably natural against the skin.

Whether worn casually or formally, the ceramic adapts comfortably to the wrist, enhancing the overall experience.
Its production is a scientific process. Using pure zirconium oxide powder, Rado shapes each case with precision before subjecting it to extreme heat to achieve exceptional density and durability.
The result is a watch case that is both elegant and resilient, with a hardness rating of 1,250 on the Vickers scale.

This unique combination of performance and refinement defines the Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic Chronograph.
It is a modern tool watch that requires no sacrifice between technical excellence and aesthetic sophistication. It wears as beautifully as it works.
